Giving back through knowledge
We believe education changes lives, and we're committed to making it accessible for communities that need it most.
Building bridges through learning
Since 2022, we've been running free working capital workshops for small business owners in underserved neighborhoods. These aren't just lectures—they're practical sessions where people learn to read their cash flow statements, plan for seasonal fluctuations, and make decisions that keep their businesses alive during tough months.
We partner with local community centers and trade associations to reach people who wouldn't normally have access to this kind of training. Our instructors are experienced accountants and financial analysts who volunteer their time because they remember what it was like starting out without guidance.
The workshops run on Saturday mornings, three hours each, covering everything from inventory management to negotiating payment terms with suppliers. Participants bring their actual business numbers, and we work through real problems together. No theory for the sake of theory—just practical tools they can use on Monday morning.
Free quarterly workshops
We hold four major sessions each year in partnership with Singapore Business Federation branches. Each workshop accommodates 30-40 participants and includes printed workbooks, case studies based on local businesses, and follow-up consultation hours. Materials are available in English, Mandarin, and Malay.
Scholarship program
For participants who want to go deeper, we offer full scholarships to our advanced working capital analysis course. Ten scholarships are awarded annually based on business need and commitment to sharing knowledge with their networks. Past recipients have gone on to mentor others in their communities.
Open resources library
All our workshop materials, templates, and recorded sessions are freely available online. We've created calculators for cash conversion cycles, inventory turnover analysis, and receivables aging that anyone can download and use. Over 2,000 businesses have accessed these tools since we made them public.
Real results from real businesses
The impact goes beyond numbers, though the numbers tell part of the story. Businesses that have completed our full workshop series report better supplier relationships because they can now negotiate from a position of understanding their actual cash needs. They make inventory decisions based on turnover data rather than gut feeling. They know when they can afford to extend credit to customers and when they need to tighten terms.
One textile importer who attended our 2024 workshops restructured her payment schedules based on what she learned about cash conversion cycles. She reduced her working capital needs by 30% without cutting inventory or losing sales. She now mentors other importers in her trade association.
